植色（Shoku-shoku）ワークショップのご案内

今回の染料は「栗」です。

秋に旬を迎える栗。
栗ごはんや焼き栗など、食欲の秋を彩る中心的な食材です。

10月の植色は、「食べる栗」ではなく「染める栗」を体験していただきます。
今年の栗のイガからはどんな色がいただけるでしょうか。
植物の色は同じに染まらないのが不思議で面白いところ。
ぜひこっくりとした今年の栗色を直に見て、布にうつしていただければと思います。

植色ワークショップでは稲垣機料さん @inagakikiryo での機織りワークショップと連携して、織りにつかう緯糸(よこいと)を染めていただけます。
ぜひ糸染めから機織りまで、「染織」の世界をたっぷりとお楽しみください！

Dye with the colors of autumn chestnuts 🌰

Chestnuts are one of the joys of autumn—delicious in rice dishes or roasted over a fire.

But this October, at Shokusyoku, we’ll explore a different kind of chestnut: chestnuts for dyeing, not eating.

What beautiful, deep color will this year’s chestnut husks give us? 🌰
One of the wonders of plant dyeing is that the colors are never quite the same. Come discover this year’s unique “chestnut color” and bring it to life on fabric.

In collaboration with Inagakikiryo’s weaving workshop @inagakikiryo , you can also dye the weft yarns used for weaving.

From dyeing yarn to weaving fabric, come enjoy the beautiful world of senshoku—Japanese textile craft—through your hands and senses. ✨

What to bring
